The Florida Marlins have signed 1st rounder Jose Fernandez to a signing bonus of $2 million according to Jim Callis' twitter. A RHP out of Alonso HS in Florida, Fernandez was chosen with the No. 14 pick in the draft.

Fernandez is an imposing, powerful righty originally from Cuba. He can touch 97 MPH with his fastball and will also throw a promising change-up and slider.
