Scouting Report: With the enforcement of the new BBCOR bats almost everybody had a down year power-wise in college baseball. Zunino, however, was unaffected by the new bats and exploded for a breakout season that included 19 home runs and the SEC Player of the Year Award. He comes into the year as the top catching prospect in the 2012 Draft and he has all the potential to be an outstanding two-way star behind the dish. To go along with his ability with the bat, Zunino showed impressive agility and hands to go with a very strong, accurate arm. As improbable as it seems Zunino is actually playing even better to start this year than he did last year. If he continues to handle breaking stuff better there is no reason why Zunino can't be one of the top 5 picks and a quick riser to the big leagues.
